Due to the rescheduling of the Merrymeeting Ride to this Sunday (and the assumption that a lot of us are panning on that), I was planning on something a bit more tame than has been our recent habit: how about 40 miles or so out to Pinelands? we can go Freeport if people prefer, so the more masochistis of us can branch off and do Brunswick, too, or I can just tell you how to add another 10-15 miles past Pinelands.
We'll gain 6° if we wait until 9:00--see you then.

10/8 Saturday Ride
I'm out on Monhegan still closing up the house, so I won't be back for the morning ride (and on such an awesome weekend, too!). Dealer's choice tomorrow, but I'm thinking Saco next weekend unless you beat me to it.

Oct 1 Saturday Ride
Sorry for the late post, but I'm off to do the Dempsey Challenge, and then the Cadillac. It's a dealer's choice tomorrow.

9/24 Saturday Ride
The Dempsey Challenge and the Cadillac Challenge are both two weekends away; I know a lot of us are doing one or the other (guess who's doing both?), so we need one more ride with hills. It's either Pinelands or Brunswick, I think, leaning towards Brunswick: the Not Dead Yet ride will be going Saturday morning out of Pinelands, and we may not want to navigate crowded roads. The table is open for comments.

9/17 Saturday Ride
==UPDATE==
There have been no requests for a route, so it will be a dealer's choice tomorrow.
This is the weekend of the Loon Echo Trek, friends: if you haven't done this ride, you owe it to yourself to give it a try! Lots of climbing, beautiful scenery, good cause. I'm sure our intrepid Randonneurs de France will drop me like a box of rocks, so I'm going to need company, but just look at this map--what could be more fun??
In the meantime, we need a route for anyone who's not going. This is early enough warning that you have some time to consider, and just email me or leave a comment about a preferred route. If the Randonneurs have had enough of climbing, they may be interested in simply doing the flat 50-miler to OOB and Gorham that we didn't do last week (to avoid conflicting with the Lighthouse and Parkinson's rides). Think about it, let me know.

9/10 Saturday Ride
Well, Labor Day is gone and so are most of the tourists: it must be time for OOB! Bring two bottles and some snacks.

9/2 Saturday Ride
Well, I'm not sure how this weekend is going to go: at least five of our regulars are pedaling on French soil and making us all jealous, and then there's the holiday, of course, taking people out of town. People like me, for instance (see what I did there?). So, not knowing how many or who will be there, I'm going to post an old reliable for this week: Freeport with the Brunswick option.

9/27 Saturday Ride
I need a ride, folks!
I'm thinking, since there's been an awful lot of going north recently, maybe west is in order: either Mitchell Hill or this lovely, bucolic variation on one of Bruce's themes. I altered the course to follow the river a little more--let me know if that's a bad idea, Bruce!
After Labor Day, we'll fit in the Saco ride. Also, we should be able to go up to Boothbay and enjoy some coastal fall color.

8/20 Saturday Ride
Theresa and Jerry didn't get to do the extra loop past Pinelands last week and they want another swing, so we'll repost the 51-mile, five-Cat-5-climb Pinelands Plus loop from last week. If you create a critical mass block and out-vote them (or beat them fair and square arm wrestling), I'm sure they'll be reasonable.

8/13 Saturday Ride
It's the Bike MS weekend so I will be down in Biddeford putting in 175 miles over the next two days. Theresa and Jerry are training for a European trip, however, and they want some hills, so how about this one? It's 51 miles with the unusual (but pretty) way home via Elmwood/Hodsdon, but that can be shortened by going our typical 231 to Greely or Tuttle. There's an optional 10 mile loop and two extra Cat 5s after Pinelands including Gloucester Hill and Penney Road (total 3731 ft and 5 Cat 5s).
The rain should hold off until the afternoon, but be prepared.

7/30 Saturday Ride
I am back in the saddle, friends: atrophied, but rarin' to go! Since I have no idea where you've been lately, we'll pick a route in the morning. If anyone is not doing the Four Notches, I'll see you at 8:00!

7/23 Saturday Ride
Out of town one last time (I hope). Not knowing where you chose to go last week, how about Pinelands via Hodsdon?

7/16 Saturday Ride
Well friends, I have to be out of town again this weekend but, since we got rained out last weekend, I'm just going to leave the Mitchell Hill route right here.

7/2 Saturday Ride
Still driving back from Moab, so it's another Dealer's Choice tomorrow. It looks to be a beautiful day, so here's to good riding!

6/25 Saturday Ride
I am out of town for the next two weeks riding in Moab (it's very hot out here, but amazing!). I'll need a bunny wrangler for those two Saturdays--any volunteers? I will post whatever route you choose, or everyone can meet up at 8:00 and play Rock-Paper-Scissors-Lizard-Spock for the route.
