7/4 Saturday Ride

Blackstrap-Yarmouth

It should be a great day for a ride, so I think we should check out the new pavement on Mountain Road! How about a variation on an old theme: 36 miles out Blackstrap, up Orchard, and circling around to Yarmouth and home. If you all truly miss Pinelands or Cape, I'm happy to consider it; just leave a comment.

I have triathlon training tomorrow morning (they're going to try to teach me not to drown--I find this a valuable lesson), so I will have to turn the reigns over. I would suggest Freeport or Pinelands for tomorrow.

And for any who missed it, these two items:

1. I have a 6' tall nephew coming to visit who would like to try some trail riding. If you know me at all, you know he's not going to fit on either of my 15.5" Trek Fuels. Does anyone have a backup bike they'd be willing to loan me for a week?

6/20 Saturday Ride

Mitchell Hill

It's been a while since we've been south... I'm sorely tempted to do the Old Orchard/Gorham loop, but I'm not sure how the traffic is around 9:00 when we should be rolling through. If anyone has actual knowledge, let's hear it!

Until I'm alerted otherwise, plan on Mitchell Hill for a good 42 miles. It should be in the 60s tomorrow, so dress appropriately.
